plodding along!

 that pile of mulch in the previous post is slowly being used up!

2 garden beds done so far...(big garden beds!)

its also this time of year again!

the garden is still producing some beautiful blooms

the crepe myrtles are looking amazing!

and progress is being made on the sewalong from Ellie's Place,

that border was a bit of a challenge, 

but one step at a time, it's easy

did the stars as I needed a break from challenging stuff

and went back and filled in the applique step/triangles, 

and addd the circles to the stars, 

but haven't sewn them on yet, 

still checking colour placement..

more holiday sewing to come,

more mulching, 

new stuff to make for the shop where I sell stuff, 

some new ideas coming...

well back to it!

Progress!

 this huge pile of mulch was delivered last week, 

its a job for my holidays coming up!

looked after these 3 cheeky animals while Diva was away for an extended weekend trip,

Jack (didn't see him for 3 days!)

just feed me....

(total scaredy cat until he realised I was there to help him...meds for heart condition)

then he was a total snuggle bug!!!!

hubby and I revamped our old park bench with a paint job and new timbers, 

looks a million $$$ now!

bought some Tiger Lillies inside

a little bit of rain and out come the Bella Donnas!

and started something new..

Well Christmas is done and dusted for another year!

Ours ended up being very quiet, 

as somebody (not me) tested positive on Boxing Day!

so that put an end to everything...for 2 weeks!

On a more positive note, 

this came from one of my beautiful clients...

totally delicious!

all I made was the pavlova!

went on a little online shopping spree

got time to do some of this

changed up the stock I have at Healesville Hotchpotch

and planning a few new lines in the coming weeks,

well the ensuite is finally finished...all the painting was done last weekend,

and all the other little finishing touches!

yay, very happy with how it turned out...

think I need new towels to  match now?

this gorgeous orchid was given to me last year, 

and somehow I have managed to get another flower spike on it,

never been able to do it before, 

usually have them with the first spike and then throw them out several months later, 

so happy this one has bloomed again as a very special friend gave it to me!

we went down the back to slash the grass on Sunday, 

yes I know it was 34 degrees!

did it in the morning before it got too hot and finished about 1pm, 

the grass was so long I could of got lost in it (I'm only short!)

found these beauties while watching hubby on the tractor, 

in between digging up the blackberries!

two more swaps arrived from the USA

celebrated another trip around the sun,

ensuite update...almost done!

 well the demo was all done over the weekend, 

its already to go on the Wednesday after Cup Day

those floor tiles were a total pain to get off...

a lot harder than the other bathroom

so this is it so far, 

jus the shower screen to go up, 

that's happening tomorrow!

then we just need to paint, 

put up the new towel rail, hand towel ring and toilet roll holder

and finally the new mirror

everything is working, 

except the shower (no screen yet),

will be so  happy to move back into my own bathroom!

we still have flooding around the area, 

this is Yarra Glen about 10 minutes from us (racecourse), 

under water again!

it is starting to dry up, but boy does it SMELL!!!!

haven't had dahlias for years, but this one said take me home, 

so I did!

my very last waratah for this year

this little guy was being attacked by the dog next door,

so we went and rescued him/her and put him/her in our yard where they were safe..

haven't seen him/her since

and this cute birdie followed me home from the nursery where we had lunch last weekend
