stitching away on my Lucy Boston blocks,
got five stitched,
one more prepped and ready to go,
and two more almost cut out ready for prepping,
then just one more block to decide on fabrics ....
after that got to decide how I'm going to sash them!
have finally finished the centre star...
(remember the pink one from the one for my friend)
after I put it together, thought that it needed something else,
had some Dresden blades for another project,
used some of those along with some new ones to get the effect I was looking for,
now to continue with the putting together! Julz
IT'S FINISHED!!!!!! This is my bag from hell, don't get me wrong, the pattern and instructions are totally awesome, but not when you change your fabric to a thick denim (recycling the DH jeans) it had to be modified in several places...the lining wouldn't go in the way it was supposed to, the inner seams are all exposed, attaching the handle tabs was a nightmare...the list goes on.... Would I make this again? YES, but with only quilt weight fabric and interfacing. It looks great and I think will be very functional, happy with the result even if it did make me crazy! Julz
this is the beginning...
black denim main parts of bag with babushka dolls for the flap and possibly on the strap,
blue denim pockets on the side....
still thinking about the lining,
using a lovely pattern but changing a few details so it's more suitable for what I want....
more to come Julz
yes I know I have been a bit slack aka busy and missed a few days in March, but hey it's now April and yes I've missed a few days here too, will try a bit of a catch up in another post....
