well I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post!
where has the time gone?

so the last of the holiday snaps sees the huge pile of firewood for this year cut, split and stacked!
thank goodness that job is finished!
3 days of bloody hard work.
Easter has been and gone...
this was the last part of my annual leave

we also finished ALL the mulching!
again another job I wasn't sorry to see the end of!
(I still have a rather large pile of mulch left for topups!)

one of my gorgeous clients gave me figs off her tree,
as they were quite soft I decided on jam

the orchids are starting to send out flower spikes already...
so early!
found another 4 once I started looking

my late Autumn garden has been wonderful,
last year I divided these bulbs and planted lots of them in several places around the garden,
they have all bloomed, so I have had heaps of these inside,
plus quite a few that went to clients and friends to enjoy

and this beauty is finished!
well  it is now a flimsy,
time to get some backing and send it off to my friend to work her magic!

lots of new stuff on my stall at Healesville Hotchpotch,
a fabulous new indoor stall setup,
so many creative peeps around!

my regular visitor

new addition to the kitchen,
where have I been hiding?
love it!

some new ideas for the stall,
bowl cozies...
(I had very hot pasta for lunch one day,
trying to balance it,
thought there must be a better way..hey presto!)

and some new greeting card ideas

and my hubby surprised me with this,
new rain gauge...
and yes I forgot to empty it after the rain
(that's a few days worth!)

so I think that's me all caught up!
hope you are all staying warm (it's been under 10degrees here today!)
or cool wherever you are!

holiday time!

well I'm half way through my annual leave....
decided that while mulching the garden I needed to dig up the tete a tete daffodils,
filled this pot up with bulbs
(it's a 10" pot!) very full...and I left heaps in the ground!
gave all these away on FB, plus heaps of star flower bulbs and some alstroemeria rhizomes

went up to Wangaratta to meet friends for a few days....
the giant river gums along part of the river had fairy lights in them!
Would hate to of been the person to climb the tree to put them up!

Lake Eildon is at 90%+ capacity...
been a few years...
this is March 2020
almost taken in the same spot

some new plants and pots for out the front...
the old ones were looking a bit old and tired!

more mulching in progress,
still need to finish this bed up behind that huge tree,
but that's for another day!
lots more progress has been made on this,
all the leaf blocks are in need of the applique being done.
Choosing the next border fabric...
leaning towards either the teal on the left or the mauve???

stayed at my second home for a couple of days
another view of the lake
and some pretties out of my garden,
only managed to grow one dahlia this year,
both of the others rotted away
(very wet when I planted them)

 that's it for now,

tomorrow is bringing up the fire wood to the back of the house...it's turned quite cold in the last couple of days!

plodding along!

that pile of mulch in the previous post is slowly being used up!
2 garden beds done so far...(big garden beds!)

its also this time of year again!
the garden is still producing some beautiful blooms
the crepe myrtles are looking amazing!

and progress is being made on the sewalong from Ellie's Place,
that border was a bit of a challenge,
but one step at a time, it's easy
did the stars as I needed a break from challenging stuff
and went back and filled in the applique step/triangles,
and addd the circles to the stars,
but haven't sewn them on yet,
still checking colour placement..
more holiday sewing to come,
more mulching,
new stuff to make for the shop where I sell stuff,
some new ideas coming...
well back to it!

Progress!

this huge pile of mulch was delivered last week,
its a job for my holidays coming up!
looked after these 3 cheeky animals while Diva was away for an extended weekend trip,

Jack (didn't see him for 3 days!)
Larry (Diva Princess!)
just feed me....
Ash
(total scaredy cat until he realised I was there to help him...meds for heart condition)

then he was a total snuggle bug!!!!
hubby and I revamped our old park bench with a paint job and new timbers,
looks a million $$$ now!
bought some Tiger Lillies inside
a little bit of rain and out come the Bella Donnas!
the white are so pretty
and started something new..

catch up time!

Well Christmas is done and dusted for another year!
Ours ended up being very quiet,
as somebody (not me) tested positive on Boxing Day!
so that put an end to everything...for 2 weeks!

On a more positive note,
this came from one of my beautiful clients...
with my favourite little bird

Christmas lunch courtesy of my youngest and her fiance,

totally delicious!

all I made was the pavlova!

went on a little online shopping spree

got time to do some of this

changed up the stock I have at Healesville Hotchpotch

and planning a few new lines in the coming weeks,
stay tuned!
