on the home straight for the end of January...

well I don't know about you, but this first month of 2021 has flown!
I didn't think I had done a lot between the last post and this, but it seems I have been quite busy!
my tigerlilies are amazing this year...
so many blooms on each stem
this rose just looked amazing with the raindrops on it after we had had a 40 degree day the day before!
waffles in my new stove top waffle maker,

so easy and it might just go into the camper with us
I made this bag about 6 or 7 years ago ( i think) and it had coffee spilled on it at work and was in need of a wash, after it finished drying I realised the front had frayed in a number of places, so decided a repair job was in order.

Found this FQ in my stash from hmmmm years ago! Replaced the front and rebound and reattached...

all good for another few years (although upon inspection, there are a few wear marks in the denim) but I think a couple more years won't hurt?

and #modablockheads3 is coming to an end, there are only 2 more blocks to go...

and I am actually all caught up awaiting the new blocks! A M A Z I N G !!!
I have my layout ready to go, just need to decide where each block will go
(the photo I took a couple of weeks ago was to see how many of each block I needed and to replace any that didn't suit)

this scrap box got a bit of a sort on the weekend as I couldn't find what I was looking for, but boy did I find some thing I had forgotten were in there...plus some quite large pieces that shouldn't of been in there either!

And I managed to get a big bag of tiny scraps for a friend who is a kinder teacher, her kidlets will use these in their paintings and glueing sessions

and these next blocks are a FB sewalong group I'm in called Hugs and Stitches sew along...the quilt is called Joyful and each block is hosted by a different person (12 blocks) and represents what brings us Joy.
My turn is in November (the second last block) so it will be interesting to see what everyone else brings to the quilt...
this is another scrappy quilt for me, just to add to the pile of scraps!

hope you all enjoyed your Australia Day..

mine was spent making heavy duty hand cleaner for DH...

Well done repairing your bag, denim is pretty tough and should last a long time! Great to be up to date with block heads, also well done sorting, never a job I look forward to, but great you found goodies. You have made lovely blocks.

A nice newsy post. Our tiger lilies are blooming well too, after doing very little last year. I love how you were able to revamp your bag. It’s exciting to be getting to the pointy end of BH3. I look forward to seeing your layout and also seeing your new BOM progress.
