these 2 wall hangings are for sale.

I did a commission for a friend last year, used red hearts but she changed her mind and wanted pink, so I ended up with these 2 left over.

$40 each includes postage in Australia

(OS I would need to see which country and how much and do a percentage of )

Approximate sizes are 32cm x 41.5cm and the other one is 35.5cm x 42.5cm
My own original design....pattern available in my Etsy shop or via my FB page (links on sidebar)

12 months in the making!

well 12 months ago (actually 13, 56 weeks)
I started modablocksheads3 with thousands of others across the world,
this past weekend I have it all together...
enjoy some progress shots across the weekend
feeling it was going to be too busy (no sashings in this baby!)
but I perserved with it
sorry turn your head to the side its an onpoint layout (forgot that bit when I took the photo)
that's better...
that's the centre and first border completed ( mid Sunday afternoon)
still a lot of sewing to go!

are you ready for the big reveal???

ta da!!!!

and I only had to fudge one side border that was about 1/2" short!
and I'm not telling which one either!
Picked up a lovely fabric for the backing while I was out and about on Friday,
now to do the backing, I'm going to incorporate the leftover blocks from the front into the back (I think), will have a play and see how it looks before doing any cutting or sewing on that...

So after 56 weeks, I now need to find another long term project...
there are a few I have in mind, but you will have to wait and see!

And some garden spam to end with...
even weeds can look stunning!

on the home straight for the end of January...

well I don't know about you, but this first month of 2021 has flown!
I didn't think I had done a lot between the last post and this, but it seems I have been quite busy!
my tigerlilies are amazing this year...
so many blooms on each stem
this rose just looked amazing with the raindrops on it after we had had a 40 degree day the day before!
waffles in my new stove top waffle maker,

so easy and it might just go into the camper with us
I made this bag about 6 or 7 years ago ( i think) and it had coffee spilled on it at work and was in need of a wash, after it finished drying I realised the front had frayed in a number of places, so decided a repair job was in order.

Found this FQ in my stash from hmmmm years ago! Replaced the front and rebound and reattached...

all good for another few years (although upon inspection, there are a few wear marks in the denim) but I think a couple more years won't hurt?

and #modablockheads3 is coming to an end, there are only 2 more blocks to go...

and I am actually all caught up awaiting the new blocks! A M A Z I N G !!!
I have my layout ready to go, just need to decide where each block will go
(the photo I took a couple of weeks ago was to see how many of each block I needed and to replace any that didn't suit)

this scrap box got a bit of a sort on the weekend as I couldn't find what I was looking for, but boy did I find some thing I had forgotten were in there...plus some quite large pieces that shouldn't of been in there either!

And I managed to get a big bag of tiny scraps for a friend who is a kinder teacher, her kidlets will use these in their paintings and glueing sessions

and these next blocks are a FB sewalong group I'm in called Hugs and Stitches sew along...the quilt is called Joyful and each block is hosted by a different person (12 blocks) and represents what brings us Joy.
My turn is in November (the second last block) so it will be interesting to see what everyone else brings to the quilt...
this is another scrappy quilt for me, just to add to the pile of scraps!

hope you all enjoyed your Australia Day..

mine was spent making heavy duty hand cleaner for DH...

over half way through January!

some pretties followed me home from LQS in Wandin North and from Spotlight

some pretty blooms on my succulents,
but these ones coming from the centre are called death blooms,
yes it means the end of this plant, but fortunatley they throw lots of "pups"!

4 more blocks for my #modablockheads3 quilt...
only a few more to go..
I actually have enough for the top now,
the rest will go on the back,
found a lovely TOT cream for the setting triangles,
just need something for the border around the centre

the blocks right at the bottom are leftovers...
there will be a few more...
there will be lots of rearranging as these were just pulled out to see how I was going with sizing.

found this cute little green bug on one of my plants

looks like a ladybug but totally green!

and the bees have been enjoying my orange gum blossoms!

blocks were from a FB group I'm in (all freebies from the internet)

needed 16, so added 4 from modablocks3...now to quilt it!

my orange flowering gum is putting on a show again too!

Christmas is almost upon us!

Christmas decorating is a bit slack this year,
just can't be bothered, so the snowman collection came out,
the light up stars and tree,
snowflakes on the windows and the lights on the front verandah (that stay up all year)
that's it!
No tree!

jam packed couple of weeks

lots of garden spam....still lots of beautiful colours in the garden
these are my $2 lilly pots (2 lots of them) that are blooming beautifully

morning walks again...
a few more modablockheads3 completed
think I'm only 2 behind now

celebrated a birthday last week, this was breakfast!
a new ring for the collection (the blue one)
some lovely rusty garden art from my youngest daughter and her fiance...

that's right, forgot in all my excitement, my youngest got engaged on November 6th!

playing at some recycling those big coffee jars into terrariums

and a new family on the lake

remember that one lonesome cherry on the tree?
Hubby went to pick it 2 days after this photo was taken,
just to let it ripen a little more....
it was GONE!
damn bird got it!
Now he has to wait til next year,
and will have to net the tree so we actually get to taste them!

 see ya!
