You will probably need a cuppa and a bikkie for this post, it's rather long (for me)
As you would know from my excited last post, I was off to the Craft Fair on Saturday....
Diva and I headed off early to the train station
(boy! it's been years since I have been on a train, had NO IDEA of how to work the ticket system)

Yes embarrassing I had to ask someone!!!!
Any way got on the train and enjoyed the trip in...trying to pick all the ladies that were going there too....that was fun...I think I managed to almost pick all of them....
the 2 ladies that were sitting opposite us were lovely and helped us out with directions
(yeah cos I didn't know which way to go once we were out of Southern Cross Station, had lost all my bearings!)
and they were kind enough to help us out....
so off we went, took about 10 minutes from the station, purchased our tickets and entered
Wonderland.....
we wandered up and down each aisle, looking, picking things up, admiring beautiful quilts and patterns...drooling, dribbling and more drooling...
get the idea????
Found Theodora Cleave 's (Barb) cute little booth, and who should be in there but Bron!
from Mrs Martins...(hi Bron)
stopped and had a chat.....
then off we went again on our merry way until we came to Catherina's Country Crafts and met the lovely Lynette Anderson....
what a beautiful beautiful lady....so nice to meet her and admire her beautiful work
finished looking at all the stalls we decided it was time for lunch before we tackled the quilt show side of things....
there were so many gorgeous quilts...
I think Diva took photos of ALL of them....
here are just a few, I won't bore you with all of them.

this is (above) was stunning...all the rocks and trees are appliqued on and then embellished with delicate embroidery to highlight it section ...
breath taking!
breath taking!
we couldn't get a good photo of this whole quilt, but to say the needleturn applique and the hand quilting was outstanding....
these little flag were about 1/2 square and were just sewn on across the top, but the result was truly amazing .....
into this peace dove!
and finally my purchases for the day...
I didn't go too mad (although I could of, and I'm sure that some people did!)
2 books, 4 FQs (in pink that I never buy, and some lovely pale greens), a new thimble (cos I misplaced mine last year), 2 sets of Theodora Cleave buttons, and a gorgeous pendant for a necklace....

After we had our fill of quilts there was still some time to spare before getting back on the train...
so we went back to Theodora Cleave....and met the lovely Barb...we had a quick chat...wonderful lady...and so glad to have met you!
So that was our day out....
well done if you got to the end and I didn't bore you....
cheers Julz
