Hi everyone....what a wonderful weekend...no bushfires! cos it was raining......and raining....and a little bit more rain!
I went to the Quilt Show at Monbulk that Karen puts on each year to help raise funds for the local CFA. Thought I would share some of the quilts....
the detail on the sea scene was gorgeous......
this bag was just amazing, unfortunately my camera died (Diva was taking photos on Sat and "forgot" to tell me it needed new batteries!) Yeah right.....couldn't get one of the quilt I loved....a beautiful Dear Jane that was totally brilliant....
I think next year will be bigger and better again. Well done Karen and all your helpers on the day.
And I got a finish for March! just another small tablerunner that has been sitting around unfinished for a while.
did some wavy lines for the quilting...was going to be precise with the lines...you know straight perfect lines, then I was having a look through a book I bought not long ago, and the lady in this suggested that doing lines and quilting that wasn't perfect was OK! and here I was always trying to get everything perfect.....the joy of just running these lines up and down and not worrying about the symmetry......Love it....will be doing more of it.
cheers Julz
