Debut Ball 20014

well my YD had her Debut Ball on Friday night..

she looked beautiful.....

as did her sisters

we all had a lovely night together

 

 

Monday...

it's cold,

it's wet,

it's miserable outside,

glad I'm in here,

cozy and warm

planning on what to start stitching now...

IT'S FINISHED!!!!!!
This is my bag from hell, don't get me wrong, the pattern and instructions are totally awesome, but not when you change your fabric to a thick denim (recycling the DH jeans) it had to be modified in several places...the lining wouldn't go in the way it was supposed to, the inner seams are all exposed, attaching the handle tabs was a nightmare...the list goes on....
Would I make this again? YES, but with only quilt weight fabric and interfacing. It looks great and I think will be very functional, happy with the result even if it did make me crazy!

working on my bag...
it's not going together how I want!
(that's what happens when you change the pattern....)

Winter has arrived!

new bag

this is the beginning...
black denim main parts of bag with babushka dolls for the flap and possibly on the strap,
blue denim pockets on the side....
still thinking about the lining,
using a lovely pattern but changing a few details so it's more suitable for what I want....

quick update

wow, time flies...been a little while since my last post...
here are a few things I've been up to..
my gorgeous jade bracelet my girls gave me for Mothers Day

 a new cushion cover for the denim chair

 made a start on some more dresdens...the plan is to do one blade in every fabric in my stash and see where it leads me!

 and my modest purchases from a recent visit to the trunk show at QIB a couple of weeks ago.

made a new bag (can't find the photo, so will have to take another one in daylight) and made a start on a second one because I didn't really like the first on too much....ho hum!
