these ones went to Sandra,
who wanted her quilt to look like the pattern cover,
the red ones went to Vicki
and the blues went to Dot,
we had previously sent to Dot,
but she very kindly gave all her blocks to Elaine,
who was quite unwell and couldn't participate in the swap,
so Dot's quilt became Elaine's,
and 3 of the girls made 1 extra block to send each month as Elaine's contribution,
how wonderful is the quilting community?
and this is my blue and pink quilt!
I'm so happy with it!
and this is the second quilt I did,
I made 2 of each block,
one to send and one to keep,
I make a block and then want to keep it for myself,
so this time I did, still sending to my partners,
I hope they are as happy as I am with their blocks!
top one is the version I went with, swapped the bottom row around so it was better balanced,
the idea of it was each row was 2 months of swap (in order)
except for the bottom row, as the reds for Vicki were February and Dot for March,
early sent as most of the girls are meeting up in early March and we didn't want Dot to miss out!
deciding on the borders today...
stay tuned!
