Boy....time really is flying out on me at the moment....I just don't seem to have enough of it! Has anyone got some spare?
It's been 2 weeks since my last post again!
What have I been doing? Well, besides working my butt off.....running around after kids...YD was in her school zones cross country last week (this one is just between the 4 schools in our area)...finished 5th which means she is into the next one (this one is a bit more serious, it's against schools in the zone, something like 100 kids per age group)....that's on Wednesday. She has been training every night after school, as she is determined to do well....
Taking ED to and fro to her Hospitality course obligations each week (that's a field trip on its own 2 days a week!)
And, just work, work, and more work....not a lot of stitching....I've actually pulled something out of my basket that has been in there for ????years (about 5, I think), and I won't get it finished for this months challenge, maybe next....if I get any time to myself that is.
On a more important note, I have managed to finish off one of my patterns into a PDF so that it could be put into Simple Stitches shop....Stina inspired me to pull my finger out and get it done.....so if anyone is interested, the complete set of MY GARDEN stitcheries is now available on the website...at a very special introductory price.....
Now, I'm off to try and do some stitching before it's time for tea!

Little Quilt Show
Hi all, I'm back.....too much work and definitely not enough play....the only remedy for that is TATTS....but that didn't come through either!!!!! Bugger.
Anyway enough grumbling....today I went to a little quilt show in our little town....here are some of the lovely quilts on show....
this beautiful one was strips of crazy patchwork with the most exquisite embroidery on some of the pieces....here is a close of one bit....
and this gorgeous example of colourique....
As I said, it wasn't a very big show, but the quilts on display were lovely to say the least.
I have actually managed to do a little bit of sewing today too! A first for a while....no pics...they're taking way toooo long to load today.
By the way, TCCT latest addition is out, go have a look, there is always something great to look at on there.
cheers Julz

Finished!
the weekend, that is. Did you really think I had finished something? Yeah right....sewing is a bit of a commodity around here at the moment!
Anyway, hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day....mine...not too bad, got a lovely bracelet from my lot...will post pic later.....and did actually get to do a little sewing, but that was for TCCT, which is about to changeover for the month....May 15th.
And just to let you know, Simple Stitches, my website is having a pattern sale...all patterns in the Stitchery and Doll categories are just $5 each, PDF download upon payment....no waiting for the mailman!
Well, now I'm off to work...YUCK! but I have to pay the bills somehow......
take care until next time,
Julz

Show and Tell
OK, one of my PIFs has arrived at its new home in Norway at Laila's......
A table runner, a stitchery pattern, a cute little note pad, a little hanger with 2 wooden pegs and a couple of terracotta buttons to add to a stitchery.
Glad that it arrived safely and quite quickly too!
Hope you enjoy it Laila.
cheers Julz
