more on the Gathering...

this is the cute little wool project that most of us were stitching...
(this was another surprise, as we all got a fab gift bag with 4 patterns for gorgeous quilts)

I'm almost finished, just need to finish around the flower and stitch it together....oh and fill it with the crushed walnut shells (our kit contained everything that we needed!)

OK this is the table I was seated at...I was a little late arriving so everyone had already sat down...
anyway, who should be on this table...

Jacqueline, Marion (that's her arm anyway), Robyn (we live about 2 kms from each other and didn't know that the other was going!), Jan and Pam...

and looking from the other end,
Marion, Jacqueline, Trish and Pam again..

this gorgeous quilt had everyone enthralled...
truly beautiful...these crap photos don't do it justice ...
yeah yeah guess who forgot her camera and only had the phone????
and this one appealed too...

I didn't take many photos...because of the lack of the camera,
but there was way too much other stuff going on...

the lovely Linda and her gang of helpers kept us all fed...
scones, jam and cream or savoury ones with tea and coffee,
lunch was gorgeous ribbon sandwiches with THE most delish fillings,
followed by a huge fresh fruit platter and cheese and bikkies!!!
but wait,
afternoon tea saw us all devouring mini merginues filled with something delish and topped with raspberries, or mini quiches, or lumberjack cake!

and in between all the food,
Leonie and Deidre showed all the beautiful things in their upcoming book (no photos allowed as that would spoil the surprise!)...but let me tell you, this book is well and truly on the wish list...the quilts, and other items are just stunning!!!!
not to mention the mini demos the girls did...some of the groups were too big, so they would come to your table and do a smaller demo...

So lastly again a big thank you to the Crow Girls for a wonderful day,
to Linda for a wonderful venue,
to the helpers for all of their efforts (ie yummy food!)
and to the girls on my table, thanks for loads of laughs and a great time!

Next up Monbulk Quilt Show!
