Fabric...

My Oh My...
today I picked this up from a friends place....

she said she was cleaning out her scraps.....
maybe they will be useful for some of your projects,
they are all fabrics I won't use.

So off home I trotted with my bags of goodies,
and spent a lovely afternoon in air conditioned comfort going through said SCRAPS!!!
(only made it to 43 degrees today!)
(That's Melbourne for you, supposed to be only mid 20s by Friday)

Sorry I digress....
I found so many treasures in these bags I will be busy for months!

That's only part of it...
haven't had time to do the rest.

So all I can really say is.....

thank you Jac!

you have made a friend very very happy....

While spending the time pulling scraps out of the big bag,
I would grab a handful,
and laughed out loud as I remembered going shopping for these fabrics,
remembering which quilt or whatever we were making with this fabric ....
thinking how alike our taste in fabric was, and is at times...
thinking OMG why did she buy that????
wish I knew she had more of that, cos I ran out and had to use something else...

So it was like taking a little trip down memory lane with these bags of scraps.
Thanks for the memories and hope that we have many many more!!!!

I wish that everyone could have as much fun as I did this afternoon,
just playing in a pile of fabric!

May all your scraps become quilts!
(cos mine sure will be)

cheers Julz

Wow Julz you are sure one lucky lady. I had a friend a couple of years ago give me a big bag of fabric so I made my yo-yo quilt out of some of them......when she saw it finished she wanted it back !!!! Linda :)

What a perfect way to spend a hot day. I love those sort of trips down memory lane too.

Hi Miss Julie!
You are welcome!
After all I was in serious danger of suffering some sort of permanent injury, should the pile of scraps have toppled over on top of me - think of it as a rescue (or some might say 'intervention'). And I did manage to keep just a few for myself.
Happy scrapping!

Can't wait to see how you turn these "scraps" into treasure....
